Patricia McClure is a certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher and a certified Level I Crystal Reiki practitioner. She has practiced Reiki since 1997 and has studied under independent Master Teachers and through the International Center of Reiki Training.  Who Can Benefit

 Reiki can be used for general wellness as well as for specific issues. Reiki works by reducing stress, which in turn may create an environment within your body where healing is facilitated. In my practice I have had great results with clients in working with problems related to excess tension build up and chronic pain. In addition to working with pain and tension problems, Reiki may be effective with people suffering from chronic headaches, insomnia and problems of fatigue.

 Reiki is sometimes used as complimentary therapy to certain medical conditions and procedures on the recommendation of a physician or other health care provider ( e.g. high blood pressure, anxiety, stress or cancer treatment).

Client/Practitioner Expectations

The first session begins with a brief overview about Reiki to answer any questions or concerns about the treatment as well as what you hope to gain from receiving a Reiki treatment. Please keep in mind that privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times. I subscribe to the IARP ( International Association of Reiki Practitioners) at all times. The Reiki session is performed on a massage table with the client always fully clothed.

 A Reiki session may start with the client lying face up resting comfortably. I will complete the standard Reiki hand positions. If you indicate in the initial interview or beginning of the session that you wish for me to pay attention to a particular injury or issue, I will also concentrate on that area during the session. Rarely will a client be asked to lie on their stomach unless the client requests work on the back.

 During the session, clients are encouraged to relax and inform me if anything makes them uncomfortable, either physically or psychologically. Please feel free to talk to me anytime during the session. I will talk with before the session and after, but usually not during the session unless client requests it. So if anytime during the session, you begin to feel uncomfortable, please speak up immediately; I want to know as soon as possible.

• I reserve the right to refuse working on a person who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Sexual harassment is not tolerated. If the practitioner’s safety feels compromised, the session is stopped immediately.

Appointment Policies

• A Reiki session is 60 minutes and a Reiki Crystal session is 45 minutes with the exception of the first appointment which may run about 15 minutes longer.
• If a client is late for a treatment session, the session still falls within the 60 minute allotted time slot.
• If I am late, the session runs the full 60 minutes or the treatment rate is discounted.
• If you wish to cancel an appointment, please try to do so 24 hours in advance. If I need to cancel, I will try to do so 24 hours in advance. Cancellations may be done by phone or by email.
• I see clients on Monday at the Adara Center located in Old Mesilla at 2521 Avenida de Mesilla from 10 am to 6 pm . 
• For a session in your home, appointment hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 am to 6 pm.  Saturday hours are 1 pm to 5 pm.

 Fees

• If during my assessment I determine with reasonable certainty that my work won’t help you, we will end the session at that time and you will not be charged for the initial appointment.
• Reiki sessions are $50 and Reiki Crystal sessions are $50.
• If you would like a hour and half Reiki session, the charge is $75.
• Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made prior to the treatment. Currently, I accept cash and checks. I do not bill clients nor provide direct billing for insurance.
• Individuals who have financial constraints are welcome to discuss this with me to see what kind of arrangements can be made.

Professionalism

• The Reiki profession ascribes to a code of ethical behavior, which is available upon request. I follow all of the statements in this ethical code and have strong beliefs that practitioners and their clients shouldn’t engage in intimate social relationships.
• Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.
• I perform services for which I’m qualified and able to do, and will refer to appropriate specialists when work is not within my scope of practice or not in the client’s best interest.
• I keep accurate records and review changes before each session.
• I respect all clients regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, body type, political affiliation, state of health and personal habits.

Recourse Policy

• If you are dissatisfied with your Reiki treatment, you receive a full refund for that session or a complimentary treatment.
